In March of 2009, the Wisconsin & Southern was honored to accept the 2009 “Regional Railroad of the Year” award given by Railway Age Magazine. The designation reflected outstanding achievements in marketing, customer service & long-term planning throughout the short line and regional railroad industry. The WSOR was amongst 500 railroad companies throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico that were eligible for the award. As a proven leader in the transportation industry, the WSOR continues to market its services to existing and prospective businesses despite our struggling economy.
